The Portuguese Diogo gymnast Ganchinho assured Friday the presence in the springboard competition at the London Olympics.
Ganchinho achieved the Olympic qualifying in the preliminaries of the European trampolines which take place in St. Petersburg, getting 49,470 and 59,075 points in the two heels, which earned him a place in the final.
The clearance of Diogo Ganchinho for their second Olympic Games, left out Nuno Merino, the other Portuguese gymnast who was running for Olympic berth. Besides Ganchinho, Portugal will be represented in London by Ana Rente, Manuel Campos e Zoi Lima.
