Took place 11 a 14 September The Race for BTT Douro Bike Race. Three US Elite Sports Agency athletes were on the match for the four -day race, called Epic. After the first day prologue, It had three days of hardness and very accumulated and the heat that was felt in the northern region did not help.
To compete in the Open category, Humberto Luís was 19th, Rui Martins 20º and Nuno Nogueira 43º which was harmed with gastroenteritis .
In the adventure test (2 days) AUGUSTO MADEHO WAS 3rd on the second day, but penalized for not attending the first day. Antero Carvalho, already with great distance to the second Master, was forced to give up for problems derived to an accident. Nuno Ribeiro was the only one who completed the two -day race without problems, being 14th at the end!
