Very productive weekend for athletes from the US Elite Sports Agency in the three events.
On Saturday, Gavião's MTB triathlon was played for the PORterra Cup. Renato Teixeira, sub23 athlete, was 2nd overall just 15 seconds from winner João Francisco Ferreira (Sporting), and where he got the best partial in cycling and athletics. In the same event, John Ferreira (1Veteran year) got the highest place on the V1 podium and was 5th overall. By equip, Tribraga takes first place.
That same day, the Cascais aquathlon was held, which included 116 athletes to finish 750m swimming and 5km running. Tiago Lobo was 4th overall (a 49seg. of the winner) and 2nd senior. Nuno Ventura was 3rd senior.
Sunday (16/9) was Golegã MTB triathlon day. Renato Teixeira and João Ferreira returned to the load with less than 20h rest. Once again Renato Teixeira was 4th overall (3º sub23) and João Ferreira 3rd V1 after a problem with the sneakers. By teams Tribraga was 3º.
It was a fantastic weekend with all the athletes being presented with podiums.
