Realizou-se em Estremoz mais um duatlo longo com as distâncias de 12,3km corrida + 78km BTT + 9,7km corrida. Considerada a prova mais dura do calendário Nacional de Triatlo, a chave do sucesso estava na gestão de esforço em toda a prova. António Mesquita, que nem foi o mais rápido na primeira corrida, acabou por vencer a prova com uma vantagem de seis minutos para o segundo classificado. Octávio Vicente, que era líder isolado quando se enganou no percurso, foi 3º classificado.
Paulo Vides, que representou Portugal do duatlo longo de Zofingen, foi 8º da geral e Tiago Madureira, com uma excelente prova foi 19º da geral. João Silva, habituado mais às provas de BTT, foi 21º. Paulo Fernades foi 32º da geral e também ele realizou uma prova bem consistente. No feminino Elisabete Vilas Boas foi 3ª classificada e perdeu o segundo lugar por um engano na corrida.
